THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: DENESHA BAILEY

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in a small town in Clarendon, Jamaica but spent most of my formative years in Portmore, Saint Catherine. I currently reside in the capital, Kingston. I am the only child for my dad and the oldest of four for my mother. I have a passion for giving back, so I spend my “free” time volunteering for projects geared toward youth development. I am currently the Executive Director for a locally based NGO that focuses on helping young boys who have been taken out of the formal educational system improve their reading and literacy competencies. I also enjoy cooking and traveling.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have grown a lot both personally and professionally since I’ve been with PlanNet Marketing, especially where leadership is concerned. I am not the same person I was a year ago before starting this business. In the past, I have led small teams of up to 20 for various projects, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would be in a position to lead a team of over 100 people that is rapidly growing; each with their unique story and diverse background. This within itself has forced me to make a lot of adjustments personally, especially when it comes to being more emotionally intelligent. I had to quickly unlearn what I had in my head about leadership in order to serve effectively. I find myself asking what more I can do to help my team, rather than what more can my team do to help me. I don’t get it right every day, but I do understand it’s a process. I am not quite where I want to be yet, but thanks to PlanNet Marketing, I am able to improve daily, and I think that is what really matters.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My drive comes from the fact that I have spent most of my life watching both parents make huge sacrifices to ensure I am where I am today and for that I am eternally grateful and indebted to them. My mom, especially, has sacrificed so much for me, including her education and her youth, as she became a mom at the age of 16. When I was 11 years old, she moved abroad out of a need to create a better life for herself and her children. That was 17 years ago, and she’s still fighting to accomplish that dream. My biggest goal is to see the day that I can call her up and tell her to pack her things and come home. That is what I look forward to the most and that is what keeps me going.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Without a doubt, my mother. I believe she epitomizes a woman of great strength and resilience. It doesn’t matter what life throws at her, you will never see her without a smile. Her generosity towards people knows no bounds. A lot of my most dominant characteristics come from her.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Passionate, Determined and Generous.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you have been, what you have been through, or what people have said about you; if you want to change the rhetoric of your life, YOU CAN. What really counts is what YOU tell yourself every day. Henry Ford sums it up quite nicely, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re absolutely right.”

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Thanks to PlanNet Marketing I can say with certainty and conviction that if it is God’s will, within the next five years I will be living my dreams of having personal, time, and financial freedom – being able to work my business on a full-time basis and traveling around the world helping to free hundreds of families through this amazing vehicle!

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER DEBRA BOND!

Debra-Bond-2020-Banner.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Debra Bond to the 20/20 Club! Debra shares, “I love spending time with my children and extended family and friends, whether it's a gathering at my home for game night, movie night, or a trip to the Caribbean. I love helping and inspiring others. Every chance I get, I send inspirational quotes and success affirmations to those in my circle, especially my children and their friends!

“Jamaica was my very first international travel experience; it was a mother-daughter trip that was absolutely amazing! While I've been to several US destinations, international travel has been a passion for as long as I can remember. I've been to Cancun, Punta Cana, and have cruised Carnival and Norwegian! My bucket list has Dubai, Greece, and Barcelona on it, just to name a few! However, I plan to experience a new destination every chance I get.

“I have achieved success by following my leadership, staying plugged in, following the system and attending every event that is within my means. I SHOW my business partners how instead of only telling them how to succeed. I've always believed that showing is better than telling.

“A fun fact: I'm an introvert, however no one ever believes me. They always say I'm very social and people gravitate to me.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER JENNY & ALAN WHITESIDE!

Jenny-Alan-Whiteside-2020-Banner.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Jenny and Alan Whiteside to the 20/20 Club! Jenny says, “Alan and I moved to the UK from South Africa in 2008 with three children and five suitcases. We originally came to spend three years with my husband's aging father and for us to show our children where their dad was brought up. Well, life happened and we chose to stay in the UK, which has not always been easy, especially as my family are not able to join us here. We live in a small country village outside of Preston, Lancashire called Out Rawcliffe. Our three children are aged 19, 28 and 30 years.

“I came across this opportunity when I was looking for another job. My doctor had highly recommended that I change environments as this is what was causing me ill health. To be honest, it took me all of 48 hours from the time I saw the advert to the time I was in the business! I was so excited – I had always wanted to get into travel – it is an absolute passion of mine.

“I had worked in a travel environment many years before when I managed the Australian Visas element of a travel agency in South Africa, and I looked at trying to get back into it when we arrived in the UK.  This proved to be very difficult and expensive, so I stayed in the accounting and finance industry. Within a couple of weeks of starting this business, I just knew this is what I wanted to do full time, even though my hubby was not so sure (but has since been converted). People started asking me what I was doing as I had changed so much. Within the month, my husband was even saying he had his wife back. I even booked our conference tickets for this year just knowing we had to attend. I started to share the business and really understand what a life-changing impact it was having on not just me, but the family. I also realised that I had found an opportunity for me to secure a pension and to be able to leave something to our family. As I write this, I have just reached 30 personal sales and have the most incredible team and upline.

“We have travelled quite a bit over the years, having visited 26 countries, and our family has come to love travel as a result and the learning experiences that it has to offer. We love family time, socialising with friends, and travel, as you may gather. Our trip planning normally goes like this: the girls are like, ‘We want warmth and beaches’ and the guys are like, ‘Alaska and fly fishing,’ so we compromise and go to the beach where there is sun (we always win).

“This is not our first foray into network marketing; we have worked others, they had for the most part great products and more so, a great learning opportunity. In one of our previous adventures we won a dinner with the late Jim Rohn at Sun City, South Africa. What a privilege that was; his words and his life are so motivational, but motivation without action are nothing…you have to implement it and get the activity going, and then it has to become a part of you and your team’s DNA and DMO. Belief and consistency are key.

“What I have learned is that plugging into as much of the vast amount of training that is available and learning as much as you can, educating yourself, listening to your upline and leaders and getting to the meetings and the events will let your small seed of belief grow into a powerful belief that will help you through the more difficult times that you will face on occasion.

“The process that we have is a simple one; don't complicate it. Become an expert at sharing the dream one prospect at a time, then keep doing that over and over again until you become a master storyteller. As your team grows, nurture them within reason. As Mr. Bradley said, they are like children and grandchildren – sometimes you have to nurture them, sometimes you may need to discipline them, and sometimes let them be to their own devices.

“We are forever grateful for having been presented with this opportunity, and it is now our dream to be able to share it with as many people as we can.”

MEET NEW ONE-STAR DIRECTOR TANYA PARKER!

Tanya-Parker-One-Star-Article.jpg

Meet new One-Star Director Tanya Parker! Tanya was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and currently resides in the Vinings/Smyrna area in Cobb County, just northwest of Atlanta, GA. She tells us, “I’ve been to six of our seven continents and have enjoyed traveling my entire life. I believe in being disciplined and staying fit. In 2015, I completed a Triple Peach, which includes a 10K, 10 Miler, and Half Marathon. Biking is my favorite and I completed New York’s Five Boro Bike Tour, which was about 70 miles with 30,000 bikers pedaling through Manhattan, Harlem, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. I love sporting events and had a lot of fun with sorority sisters at the Oaks and Kentucky Derby. I’m somewhat adventurous on vacation, and enjoy activities that include scuba diving, ziplining, bungee jumping, parasailing, snorkeling, fishing, etc.  I enjoyed riding four-wheelers on the black sand beaches of Bali last year and free falling 725 feet off the SkyTower in Auckland, New Zealand a couple of years ago. Sitting by the pool or beach reading is what I long to do more of in the near future with this amazing opportunity!

“My first three months in PlanNet Marketing, I became a Gold Builder, and I was excited and humbled to attend my first convention at the Omni in Atlanta in 2018.  I was proud of myself, but was in awe from the testimonials of how fast people became Directors! It was one of the hardest things I’ve done professionally, because I was ignorant and terrified of network marketing, and had many social stigmas to overcome in my warm market. I thank God I’m a self-thinking, strong woman who overcame negativity about the industry and pressed forward to pursue my goals of becoming a Director, despite many harsh opinions and being avoided by arrogant individuals who felt I was ‘too good’ for the industry, let alone them partnering with me.

“I attribute the majority of my success to my amazing sponsor and coach, Nina Vital, my incredible team, and to NEVER missing a Tuesday weekly meeting in Atlanta! Despite traveling with my twins (in separate high schools) and visiting colleges all over the US, I NEVER missed a major Atlanta event, as well as the three and four-year anniversary events in other states. Staying plugged into the corporate calls, attending Eagle Weekend and PlanNet Escapes, as well as the Orlando Convention, inspired me and helped me grow as a leader. I admittedly tried to do everything on my own in the beginning, as you must in many ways reaching 20/20, but I realized I definitely needed duplication to get to DIT and Directorship. Around about this time, I purchased several network marketing and leadership books recommended by Mr. Bradley, and that helped me further understand the industry and value what I have in PlanNet Marketing even more! I began to see more business partners show up at meetings, attend Super Saturday events, as well as Six-Figure School, Black Tie, and other events. I realized the importance of supporting my partners from the front, as well as modeling the leader I admired and wanted to see in myself.

“I am a fiercely loyal person to my friends, and admire open, kind, considerate people with good character.  Good energy and people with good vibes, who catch the vision of PlanNet Marketing’s momentum, are the folks I look for. If they’re hungry and coachable, that’s even better!”

THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: TAMIKA HARGREAVES

Tamika-Hargreaves-Spotlight-Feb14.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Romulus, Michigan. I now live in Dallas, Georgia with my husband, three kids, and my mother. One of my favorite things to do is couponing. I absolutely love saving money on travel and with coupons. I'm not extreme but pretty close lol. This is my very first time trying network marketing and I fell in love with it. My past jobs have always been in retail management, but because of this business I will never have to go back to retail again.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet Marketing, I have finally found something I truly enjoy. I love helping and watching my team build their own business. This business has brought something out in me that I didn't know I had. I have grown in so many ways because of PlanNet. I get a huge amount of joy from seeing how this business has changed my family life, which has given me the boost that I need to keep pushing and growing my business, knowing that me taking the steps to invest in this wonderful vehicle has brought us all closer together.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Well of course my children are my biggest motivation for me. To see the smiles on their faces is everything to me. Taking trips and seeing the world with them is so amazing. I can't explain the major change it has brought to my family. Not having to request time off to spend time with my babies means the world to me. I'm glad that I don't have to wait until retirement before I can travel the world. Having a legacy was the main thing that was driving me at the beginning of this journey. Now the main thing that is motivating me is retiring my husband’s income. I want him to have the same time freedom that I have, without having to request time off to travel the world.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Well, it’s kind of hard to pick one role model because so many people have touched my life in so many ways. I have learned so much from a lot of people. But in this business, I would definitely say my sponsor, Takasha Taylor, has truly been a role model for me. She is an absolute beast in her business. Along with running her nail salon, she's a mom supporting her kids in all of their after school sports, all while still pouring into her PlanNet team. She is always there for me and the team no matter what time it is. Her constant grind is truly inspiring to me. Even when I'm having my low days, she always gives me words to help me snap back. I am confident in knowing as long as I'm following her I will continue to be successful!!

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Selfless, Patient, Compassionate.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
I would say keep pushing!! Keep running to your next promotion! Run like your family’s life depends on you getting to the next level. Don't let anyone or anything stop you from getting there. Tell yourself every morning that you have already accomplished that goal, whatever it may be.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
I would most definitely be a millionaire because of this business. I will have the Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond and Double Diamond rings, along with the Rolex watch and anything else Mr. Bradley adds on within the five years! My husband and I will be traveling the world on our private jet, helping more families get started and building their business and becoming financially free. All of my kids will be financially set.
