20/20 CLUB MEMBERS SHARE ADVICE!

TISHA DESHIELDS

20/20 Club Member Tisha DeShields is from the Maryland/Delaware Eastern Shore and has resided in Atlanta, GA for 17 years. She tells us, “I am an Atlanta socialite and millennium mompreneur who transitioned from being a domestic engineer to owning my own business. I stepped out on faith and gave birth 13 years ago to my "God Idea," Original Belly Works. Original Belly Works provides do-it-yourself plaster kits for pregnant mommies so that they can plaster their pregnant tummies and create a keepsake for baby. Two years ago, I decided to join the travel industry because I simply wanted to travel like an insider. I have always loved traveling and knowing that I could book my own travel and receive a commission on my own travel just made sense. I absolutely love spending time with family and friends but more importantly, I love TRAVELING with friends and family. 

I am a proud mother of four very active children ages: 23, 21, 17, and 12, and all play sports at various levels from middle school to high school to college to professional. Their competitions and games have taken me to many cities, states, and countries. In supporting and cheering for them, nothing has brought me as much joy as watching them live out their childhood dreams. They have no idea how they are the wind beneath my wings. 

Tisha says her life has afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively, domestically and abroad.  She has visited Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Amsterdam, and the Caribbean Islands, which include the islands of Jamaica, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Martinique, Grand Cayman, Bahamas, Antigua, and St. Thomas. She has also visited many cities in Mexico - Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, and Cozumel. She adds, “I have a few vacation spots on my bucket list and I can’t wait to use this amazing vehicle to help me check them off of the list!”

Tisha’s advice: Listen to the advice of your leaders. “This is a business of Follow The Leader. You do not have to recreate the wheel. The wheel has been researched, constructed, tried and tested and all you have to do is ‘move’ in the direction the wheel is going. I encourage all new business partners to stay plugged in. Stay plugged in to the systems that are in place and MOVE the WHEEL! Teamwork truly makes the dream work.” 

Following is more excellent advice from Tisha who is “determined to live her ‘authentic life’ and live it unapologetically out loud!”

 (1)   Put your emotions aside. 
 (2)  This is business. Not everyone is going to be as passionate about your business as you. 
 (3)  Be consistent. Do the little things on a regular basis.  
 (4)  Stay focused: Focus on running your race. Do not let life's obstacles keep you from reaching
        your end zone. 
 (5)  Stay plugged into the PlanNet System.
 (6)  Find an accountability partner, someone who can push you to get to the next level.
       Remember, iron sharpens iron.
 (7)  Become a part of the culture: Listen to the calls. Read the emails. Check the calendar to see
       where the leaders are in the various parts of the world. Have travel parties. Do the PS3 and
       be coachable. Your leaders have been exactly where you are and they know how to help you
       achieve your goals.
 (8)  Help your team/your business partners reach their goals. The principle of sowing and reaping
       applies. If you help enough people get what they want, you will ultimately get what you want. 
 (9)  Have fun with your business. Your product is travel and the entire world is doing it. Just
        position yourself to help the world make their vacations a reality.
(10)  Stay the course. “You Bought It, Now Build It.”

GREGORY AND CARLA SCOTT

Gregory and Carla Scott reside in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. While Gregory is originally from Washington, DC, Carla is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. This PlanNet Marketing power couple and 20/20 Club members have two children and have been married for 17 years. Gregory has been a law enforcement professional for 28 years on the state and federal level. He is also an ordained minister at their local church. Carla has been a human resources professional in the corporate, nonprofit, and federal government arena for 21 years. 

The Scotts are very humbled to be part of the company's 20/20 Club. Since PlanNet Marketing launched, they have personally sold over 50 ITAs. They have been in the travel industry for over nine years, with a track record of success that is connected to the proven leadership that they have been under, which started early on with the founder of PlanNet Marketing, Mr. Donald Bradley. SONYA PHILLIPS

Sonya Phillips is a native of Atlanta, GA and resides in Decatur, GA (metro Atlanta). Her background is in human resources, specializing in retirement benefits. She has been married for 27 years with two young adult children in college, is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and she just gave up her role as a Girl Scout leader.

JUNELENE JOHNSON

Junelene Johnson was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands on the beautiful island of St.Croix, saying, “I was also very fortunate to be raised on one of tourism's top ten islands, the enchanting isle of St.Lucia. I am a wife of 14 years to my best friend Calvin Johnson Jr, and mother of a blended family of seven! I love cooking, entertaining, music, dancing and I also enjoy watching most sports.”

Being from and having family all over the Caribbean, U.K, United States and Canada, travel has always played a huge part in Junelene’s life. She loves experiencing and learning about  different cultures. JERMAINE IRVIN

20/20 Club Member Jermaine Irvin is the proud father of three wonderful children. He says, “They are indeed my WHY! Compliance Tip of the Week

Today, let’s talk about taxes. Nobody wants to pay them (at least, I don’t think anybody wants to) but we HAVE to pay taxes. It’s the law, folks. At PlanNet Marketing – we follow the law.

PlanNet Marketing Reps are required to provide their Social Security number, Federal Employer Identification number, or their Government Issued ID number for tax purposes. Every year, PlanNet Marketing will provide an IRS Form 1099 MISC (Non­employee Compensation) earnings statement to each U.S. resident as required by the Internal Revenue Service. Each Rep is responsible for paying local, state and federal taxes on any income generated as an Independent Representative (IR). If a PlanNet Marketing business is tax exempt, the Federal Tax Identification Number must be provided to PlanNet Marketing. Any Rep who does not provide a valid Social Security number is subject to the federal backup withholding laws and 28% of their commissions and bonuses will be withheld and submitted to the IRS.

CONGRATULATIONS TO PLANNET MARKETING’S NEWEST TWO-STAR DIRECTOR - TONY FLEMING

Tony Fleming, PlanNet Marketing’s newest Two-Star Director now lives in Atlanta, GA by way of Birmingham, AL. He tells us his interests are reading leadership books, personal development books, learning from and listening to others. Tony’s wide travel experiences include destinations such as Paris, Switzerland, South of France, Tahiti, Hawaii, with his favorite place being Monte Carlo! Tony says, “I like to take tons of pictures and learn about the history of places. When I was exploring Paris and Switzerland I loved seeing all of the old castles and architectural structures of where people lived many, many years ago.” 

Director Fleming attributes his success to “user experience.” He relates, “I've been doing this business full-time for 22 years and it just becomes a habit. When you stay in the environment then it just becomes second nature. I just do it and it has become my life. Develop your team, make this business become your life; it needs to seriously be a part of your environment. 

If you want to make a lot of money in this business, do the calls, make the meetings. Do what the system suggests - calls, read the books, do the training -  then you will eventually win. That is how I have reached the top of every compensation plan of any company with which I have been affiliated. Tony says education is necessary, but one needs financial knowledge to succeed; one needs to think in a different way to achieve success. He believes entrepreneurship is the ability to spot an opportunity and the willingness to go after it despite the risks.

Quick success comes from locking into this environment early and doing what you're supposed to do. Don't just put one toe in. It needs to be on a consistent basis. Bring on more quality people, find people that are better than you, that you look up to, bring them into the business, and you will have quicker success.”

PlanNet Marketing’s newest Director, Toby Dacosta, resides in London, United Kingdom where he was also born and raised. He earned his One-Star Directorship just last Thursday and PlanNet Marketing is proud and excited to recognize his outstanding achievement.

Since leaving university, Toby has been running a successful online business which has given him the freedom to travel. Over the last four years, Toby has lived in Spain, Portugal and Austria. In addition, he has experienced 10 different cruise holidays and visited many other countries all over the world. Toby has always been passionate about business, cooking and sports, loves to sing, but most of all is passionate about travel. Keith and Adairia Vinson were born and raised in Tulsa, OK, and currently reside in Allen, TX. The couple has been married since December 25, 1992.  Keith has been employed by the United States Postal Service for the last 18 years and Adairia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and owned and operated a successful Childcare Center for eight years.They have two children (Keith, Jr. and Lauryn) and devote most of their time as the primary caregivers to Adairia’s elderly parents with Alzheimer’s, which is a full time job within itself.

After being introduced to MLM six years ago, the couple decided to close their operation and concentrate on building wealth through the vehicle of Network Marketing, with an emphasis on travel. Keith and Adairia work this business on a part-time basis but are achieving full-time results.

Meet 20/20 Club Member Robert Michael Banks Jr., who goes by Mike Banks. He is from Baltimore, MD and currently lives in Randallstown, MD.  Mike says he is blessed to have served in the United States Marine Corps. He loves spending time with his three lovely daughters and "The Big Fella," his grandson.  He says, “I have a genuine passion for coaching and am blessed to coach some amazing young ladies in softball, which adds about 20 plus more daughters to my life. It's more than the game of softball, it's helping teach life skills at the same time and I love it.

The success that I have received with PlanNet Marketing comes from the seeds that have been planted in me over years and the seeds that I have planted. 20/20 Club Member Patricia Johnson Brown is originally from Somerset, NJ and has lived in Johns Creek, GA since 2007. She loves traveling, math, live music, and just being with her family. Patricia says that she has always been adamant about taking at least two vacations each year. The Caribbean is her first choice and she also loves Turks and Caicos, along with other beach locations such as Jamaica, the Bahamas, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, and the Cayman Islands, to name a few. She has also had the opportunity to travel on business to Jerusalem, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Munich, Paris, Vancouver and many cities in the US… and with her new travel business, she tells us her bucket list of travel places is rapidly growing. “I exposed my daughter to travel at a very early age and my family always remembers and reflects on the experiences that came from travel way before they remember the material “things” that were purchased for them.”  

Patricia relates, “I had a successful career in corporate America in the semiconductor industry. There I excelled, earned great income, but had no passion for what I did. Now, I am so excited about the opportunity to build a thriving career in a new industry while pursuing my passions at the same time. I am truly passionate about giving back, which is why I am the cofounder of the nonprofit organization, Math Is My Friend, Inc., which is dedicated to closing the achievement gap in math. However, I am also truly passionate about financial freedom. As a part of PlanNet Marketing I have the opportunity to give back by helping others pursue their personal and financial dreams, all while traveling and pursuing my own financial goals.  It’s a win-win and a perfect way to go into what I call “Phase 2” of my life. When I heard Donald Bradley say “we are going to teach you how to make it, save it, and invest it,” I knew this was the place for me because that was already my mantra, except I did it with a job and stock options. I thought to myself, ‘Now, I can do the same thing with my own business, while traveling the world!’ How awesome is that!!!  I’m all in!" 

Patricia attributes her success to being a firm believer of setting goals and tracking results. She continues, “I believe this was a huge contribution to my reaching the milestone of 20/20 Club.  I like things simple and to the point. When my mentor, Eileen Ross, and I discussed working my list and the fortune being in the follow-up, I embraced it. I put my head down, I made my spreadsheet, and I started inviting. When I looked up, I had over 20 people. On my spreadsheet, I have a column with a note for each interaction with the person on my list; that way I can track their responses and know when and how to follow up. I can easily see what methods/exposure tools have worked better for me, which then helps me duplicate my own process. Every person does not respond to the same type of invitation the same way, so you may have to switch it up until you get a response.

Thanks to all of the PlanNet Marketing tools, the training provided, and my mentor, I have so many ways to expose people to my business and I am constantly learning the most effective ways to use all of them. In other words, “fail your way to the top,” try different things, take the shot.  I learned that by staying "plugged in” to all of the personal development training that we receive on the calls and at local meetings. The funny thing that I’ve learned about myself over the years and in this business is that I CAN take rejection, but I hate being ignored. It’s part of life and it’s definitely part of sales for someone to respectfully decline what you are offering, BUT when you ignore me? I can become relentless (in a positive way, of course). ”I will NOT be ignored!” LOL

Q: How do I access my PlanNet Marketing Mobile App on my phone after downloading it from my app store?
 
A:  After purchasing your PlanNet Marketing Mobile App subscription from the Virtual Office you need to do two things:
     1.  Download the mobile app from your app store. The links to the Apple app store and the Google Playstore will be emailed to you after your purchase.
     2.  Activate your subscription by simply logging back into your Virtual Office or returning to your Virtual Office home page.

Catchy URL? Special Email Address? Totally up to you! We allow our Reps to register domain names and/or email addresses to customize their business as they choose (at your own cost). Just keep a few guidelines in mind BEFORE purchasing any of these services.

You can’t use domain names (URLs), email addresses, or other online aliases that could cause confusion because people believe or assume the website or communication is from PlanNet Marketing (like using “PlanNet Marketing” in the domain name or email address…or by having “PlanNet Marketing” displayed as the sender of an email.)

Examples of improper URLs, email addresses, and online aliases: PlanNetMarketing@msn.com; www.PlanNetMarketingDirect.com; www.facebook.com/PlanNetMarketing, etc.

Deborah Hardnett

20/20 Club Member Deborah Hardnett is an Atlanta native, who has recently moved back after living 10 years in the Metro DC area. She loves music, dancing, cooking, serving and entertaining, and of course, travel! She tells us that she has had the fortune to travel all over the world, with some of her favorite places being Turkey, Greece, and Monte Carlo. Still on her travel list to visit are Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, South Africa and Dubai!

Deborah’s excellent advice for achieving success is: remain consistent, keep sorting, go through the numbers, keep expanding your Why, allow the process to work, become a master of the PS3 System and be a master promoter. And… absolutely, never take it personally. Remove emotion from the business equation and don’t quit on YOU!

Letoria Mayberry

Letoria Mayberry is a native of Athens, Alabama and is a versatile force of creativity, drive and passion. The youngest of four siblings and graduate of Oakwood College, she is a contracting officer by day with the United States Army Department of Defense/Counternarcotics Terrorism Program. By night she becomes an advocate for financial freedom, where in addition to the 20/20 Club, she is a PlanNet Marketing Two Star Director and Founders Club Member. She is a single mother of a 21-year-old daughter, co-owner of Signature Events by L’SKY, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated, Co-founder of Models for Jesus Christ and she serves as youth director at her church, New Beginnings MB Church.

In her continued passion for making a profound difference, Letoria is also the CEO of “Winner In Me,” a ministry that helps fund a shelter for battered women and children and is a strong advocate for female empowerment. This shelter provides a temporary, safe and secure respite where these women will be strengthened and empowered to start a new life.

Letoria relates, “I have always dreamed of traveling the world. Since I embarked on the travel industry two years ago, I have gotten an opportunity to travel not only domestically but internationally to some places I have dreamed of going. I truly enjoy being a travel agent. I love the excitement of helping plan my clients’ travel. I treat every opportunity to book my clients’ travel as a unique experience where they can actually visualize their vacation before they get there. I want to help create an everlasting memory that they can share for generations to come.”

Her method and techniques for success are based on her belief that at the end of the day, everyone is a winner. She says, “We all have survived something! I have to attribute my success to just having the will to win and my Why.  I can truly say I have one of the best coaches (Mr. Orlanda Moore). Being under his leadership has taught me to:

  1. Stick with the system by doing the simple things consistently (PS3)

  2. Remain coachable - meaning follow the leader, always take notes when your coach is speaking and duplicate the process

  3. Always reading and studying the industry

  4. Have a competitive attitude (I never want to lose because my family deserves this)

  5. Practice what I teach. (Don’t expect something from my partners that I’m not doing myself)

  6. Making sure my partners are getting what they need

  7. Have a leadership that is duplicable

  8. When approaching a prospect make it about them. (How can this business help them?)

Lastly, a motto I live by is: If you had four hours to chop down a tree, what would you do? My answer: I would spend three hours sharpening my ax, then hone in on my skills and act. You have to make the sacrifice and always be hungry for success.”


Velecia Middlebrooks

Meet Velecia L. Middlebrooks, who tells us that she is a military brat (Army/ Air Force) who has recently moved from Northern California to Columbia, SC, but Dover, DE is where she calls home. Her varied interests are traveling, community service (especially for single mothers who are in need), socializing, networking, spending quality time with family, sightseeing, attending concerts and plays, watching Marvel movies, and wine tasting.

This 20/20 Club Member has had a passport since she was eight months old, traveling with her parents in the military. She states that she has no problem going anywhere or relocating, having traveled to Belize, four parts of Mexico, the Bahamas, the Grand Cayman Islands, two parts of Jamaica, and she’s on her way to Germany. She is a frequent cruiser with Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Carnival, but prefers all-inclusive resorts because she is a spontaneous explorer.  

Velecia attributes the key to her success as being coachable and open to constructive criticism. She says, “I have been in several network marketing companies that ‘I didn’t WORK.’ If I would have been coachable and not trying to do things my way, and not just focused on the sale of the product (my background is sales and marketing), I would be a millionaire or a six-figure earner. I used techniques that were taught in school, not what is being taught now. With that being said, I went from having 10-15 direct sponsored to me to now over 100 in less than seven months!”

“I am still pushing to meet my next goal of Three Star Director. This is an exciting and great achievement for me only because I’ve changed my mindset. I am still a work in progress, but open to the process. I say be the master inviter, share with everyone! Everyone who I speak to, I visualize them as President Grant (a $50 bill)! Right now I am still learning and being mentored. I advise that if you are still a newbie to network marketing, you should have a mentor, someone who has the knowledge to help you get to where they are. Find a mentor who can push you, help you be accountable, and is willing to dedicate true mentorship to you. Keep a focused and positive mind. Don’t let your distractions keep you from your success. I do have a huge heart, so I am always helping others in any way that I have the knowledge to help them achieve their financial goals.”

Velecia says that believe it or not, “This natural born diva is very shy. I shake before I speak and hope that what I say makes sense. Oh, and I am not a huge fan of texting. I feel like it is not personal!”

20/20 Club Member Natalie Graham is from Hartsville, SC and now lives in Atlanta, GA. Her family, travel, and life coaching are a few of her many interests. She and her husband have traveled to Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, St. Kitts, San Juan, Turks and Caicos, and St. Maarten - all with in a six-month span!

Natalie teaches, “You must have a servant’s heart in this business. It’s all about building relationships and truly valuing the business and those relationships. My key to success is to not make any excuses. Showing up in your business is key. Staying plugged in and being in the midst of all of the events and culture made me want to strive for more.”

Working full time in a corporate career while finishing up her Master’s full time, Natalie is a wife and mother to three with a baby due in October! She says, “When people say they are too busy, I think it’s great… because busy people get things done!”


Donn and Tawanda Shamley

One Star Directors and 20/20 Club Members Donn and Tawanda reside in Atlanta, GA, although Donn is originally from White Plains, NY. This power couple just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary and have two children, Collin and Faith, who are their driving force for doing this business. Donn is a business analyst and Tawanda is an entrepreneur in the Gospel music industry. The Shamleys serve in Marriage Ministry in their church and Donn is also the drummer on the worship team. One of best travel experiences was their 20th Anniversary when they went to Maui.

Tawanda relates, “We have achieved success so quickly by first having confidence in the network marketing industry, the travel industry, and our two companies, PlanNet Marketing and Inteletravel, and being able to transfer that confidence and excitement to people we share this opportunity with. Secondly, stay connected to all calls, meetings and big events. One tip we would like to share is to quickly buy in to the PS3 model. We all have the option to build our business however we choose, but why not use a system that has proven to be successful and is very duplicable, which is key in our industry.”
