1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in Washington DC, and now reside in Upper Marlboro, MD. I am the mom of two amazing daughters, ages 22 and 17. I enjoy cooking, music, dancing, entertaining with family and personal development.
I’ve spent the last 29 years working in the nonprofit Social Service Administration, and am now employed with the local jurisdiction in Maryland. I’ve led teams of 300+ people in human services including homelessness, domestic violence, adjudicated youth and low-income families.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Wow!! Partnering with PlanNet Marketing has been a life-changing experience for me. With a Masters degree in social work and years of executive management training and experience, I have learned more about wealth, leadership and business here than in my profession. ((Smiling)) I was definitely not always coachable and my process included learning how to lead people gracefully, with extreme poise and posture.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Mediocrity drives me, and seeing limitless possibilities motivates me to be consistent in my business. I have experienced divorce, lack, hardships, layoffs, eviction notices and repossessions...all as an adult. I never want to experience those things again, nor do I want my daughters to experience them.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My mom, Virginia Parker. She is the most resilient, patient, loving and kind human being that I know. I would not be who I am without her.
