THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: ROBELYN MCNAIR

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I am a native of Hattiesburg, MS and currently reside in Lawrenceville, GA, a suburb north of Atlanta. My father and mother instilled in my older sister, younger brother and I the importance of doing our best at all times, with values based on the discipline of working for what you want to achieve. I am the mother of one son and grandmother “GiGi” of four grandchildren.

The majority of my career was spent working in executive leadership roles with various companies. After working 30 years and helping others build their dreams, I made the decision to step out on faith and start building something for myself, and started a consulting firm. As an entrepreneur, I learned very quickly that I could not have all of my eggs in one basket and needed to have multiple streams of cash flow. I needed a Plan B. The opportunity to join PlanNet Marketing came at the right time and provided the flexibility on a part-time basis to build residual income, create financial security, and most importantly, compress timeframes to retirement.

My hobbies are traveling, reading and outside activities, such as concerts and festivals.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet Marketing, I have learned so much about myself and how to achieve those things that I didn’t even imagine. Reading has shifted my mindset and is helping me see daily how I can become a better leader, apply practical applications and help others grow. Within the first year in this opportunity, I read over 15 books. Not only is reading imperative, but the application of the principles as noted in the Slight Edge and Seven Habits of Highly Effective People are necessary to produce results not only in this business, but in all aspects of life. My growth has shifted from a middle class to millionaire mindset. I have clarity around my goals and a clear path to achieve my dreams.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
What drives me is the ability to change my life and have the lifestyle I desire, leave a legacy, reach my goals and help others do the same. We have unlimited opportunities and resources and I want to reach my full potential and help others do the same. I don’t want to leave anything on the table; if it’s to be, it’s up to me. I desire to build generational wealth for my son and grandchildren. This will position them to live the lifestyle they choose and set them up for success. What also motivates me is the ability to help families and make the next phase of my life my best life.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My all-time favorite role model who I think back to and draw strength from is Harriet Tubman. She had the courage, bravery and an undeniable passion to not only change her life but to reach back and help others. I will share this quote, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” I compare this to what we have access to achieve with PlanNet Marketing. We can reach for the stars and change the world.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Consistent, Committed and Ready.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Stay the course and don't quit. Make time for the business, plug in and learn as much as you can. Follow the proven success system, work your business every day and don’t be afraid to win, which may involve stepping outside of your comfort zone, putting in the work and making short term sacrifices. Lastly, I say embrace the culture, stay close to your coach and sponsor and follow the blueprint.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I will be working far less and differently than I am today. I will have all the freedoms that I desire: personal, time and financial. I will have a portfolio of investment assets where I incorporated the make it, save it and invest it concept that Mr. Bradley encourages. My time will also include spending time with my mother and enjoying my grandchildren, traveling and helping others change their lives.
