THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: NATALIE BROWN

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in LaPlace, Louisiana and still reside there. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when I was a Senior in high school. I'm a wife and mother of five children, three girls ages 17, 12 and 8 and two boys ages 3 and almost 2. My hobbies are traveling, spending time with my family and playing the piano. Past business highlights are Gold Builder plus, 20/20 Club and 40/40 Club member in PlanNet Marketing.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I've grown to have a larger perspective in every aspect of my life. Previously I'd see things in a box and only my way. Now I find myself thinking about how others feel and listen more than I speak. I think outside the box because that is where everything I want is. I've also learned to be adaptive in situations that I cannot control. I smile through it all, good and bad, because I know I can only control myself and nothing else.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
I'm motivated by being an individual with an autoimmune disease. I do not want people to look at me as one with a disability and feel sorry for me. It may take me a little longer, but know that I'm capable of the same things as anyone else. I refuse to put a cap on me!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My role model is my amazing Five Star Director JP Watkins-Mukes. She's a wonderful person inside and out. She's strong, she's compassionate, she's TOUGH and she's wise. She gets me together and tells it like it is but she also has a heart of pure gold and truly wants everyone to win. I'm so blessed to be connected to such a great leader.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Humble, loyal, and determined.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
My advice is to keep going. 'Life' is going to continue to happen and you must learn to PUSH through. Use your situations as motivation to work harder, not as an excuse to stop working.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I will be a Three-Star Director with PlanNet Marketing.
