1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Essex but moved to Doncaster when I was ten years old. I like to say I have two homes as I travel up and down the country every couple of months. My hobby is spending time with my one-year-old little boy. I replaced my full-time income within five months, so when my maternity leave ended, I didn’t go back to work! This is now my full-time job, so before the pandemic happened, Isaac and I spent our days at the soft play centre or meeting our business partners.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
My life has completely changed since joining PlanNet. I was a nervous public speaker and didn’t really have many friends around me. Now, I host training calls to hundreds of my team members and feel so confident in myself. I am so passionate about what I do and that overcomes my nerves!
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My little boy is the reason I do everything. When I feel down in the dumps, I look at him and he motivates me again. He literally is the reason I am where I am today. I work hard to ensure I can give him the best possible life I can.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I would like to think I was a role model not just in business but for my little boy, too. I am a very honest and open person when it comes to my journey since starting my business 13 months ago. I started when I was a struggling new mum on maternity leave. I could have used the lack of sleep, the lack of money or the lack of time as an excuse, but instead I used it as my motivation. I always lead by the front so whatever I coach my team to do, I’ll be doing myself. I want people to see that if you really do NEED something to work, you’ll never give up, no matter how tough things get. If you have a dream, you can’t stop working until you have achieved it! I achieved my goal when I hit directorship which allowed me to leave my job and work from home full-time around my Isaac. Now, I want to help as many people in my organisation achieve the same life I have achieved.
5. The three words that describe you best are:
Determined, Coachable, and Consistent.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Listen to positive music when you feel down. When I need a ‘pick me up’ I listen to Yolanda Adams – “I Believe,” and it reminds me to believe in myself and believe in my goals. Even if they make other people laugh because they’re too big, no goal is ever too big if you surround yourself with like-minded people!
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
COMPLETE TIME and FINANCIAL FREEDOM – with a nice Rolex on my arm!
