Meet new One-Star Director Claire Northcott! Claire tells us she lives in Newton Abbot in the sunny Devon (as it's known) in England, UK, saying “I have the best of both worlds – close to the beach and also to city life. I am a bit of an entertainer and dance professionally, so my interests surround this. Dancing has been my life since I was small and I can dance most styles. I really enjoy Latin dance styles and Latin music. I also play five instruments, one of them being my saxophone, so of course I feel at home in New Orleans.
“As a dancer I have worked across the world and also been lucky enough to dance on cruise ships. I have travelled to 53 countries and lived in three different countries abroad to experience their cultures, and of course the food! I wish I had known about this opportunity sooner. My favourite place to visit is Sri Lanka – if you haven’t been...you need to! I was there just after the tsunami and helped rebuild houses for the locals; it was so heartwarming. The people and culture there were stunning and I even dressed up in native clothing to join in a temple blessing…so moving.
“As for achieving success, doing this for a year now has taught me a lot. I am new to network marketing but the one thing I will say is…be yourself. People like people, and real people at that. They will partner with someone confident in their own branding and this is your time to shine. Stand out from the crowd and show what you can bring to the table. Be a leader you would want to follow and be proud of. I found that being relatable and honest helped me build not only business partners but lifelong friendships that will outlast time. Make this a goal!
“A fun fact: I freak out at honeycomb. Please don’t laugh at me (you can if you want) but I have a fear of lots of holes – it’s called trypophobia and it physically makes me sick and I pull faces like a Wallace and Gromit character. If you don’t know what trypophobia is please Google it. I know, dramatic right? I have not always had this fear though; it has only happened since having my daughter 18 months ago. I know it’s strange!”
