COVID Is NOT a Network Marketing Tool!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is taking the current global pandemic very seriously – they are sending warnings and even filing lawsuits against companies who are attempting to use this crisis as a way to market their business. On April 24, 2020, the FTC sent out 10 warning letters to network marketing companies. The warnings were mainly regarding the promotion of dietary supplements along with COVID-19. The FTC also issued a few warnings regarding income claims associated with COVID-19.

PlanNet Marketing has always operated at the highest levels of integrity – we want to help change people’s lives, but we need to do it in a fair and transparent way. Kevin Thompson, MLM Attorney, stated recently, “There is ZERO gray area here. The field cannot commingle any content with COVID.”

What does this mean for PlanNet Marketing Reps?

PlanNet Marketing is requiring our Reps to immediately cease the use of any COVID, Coronavirus, pandemic, crisis, quarantine, unemployment, or stimulus check talk in reference to their business. No gray area. If you are acting as a PlanNet Marketing Rep in person, over the phone, via messenger, via text, on a FB live or a social media post, on Zoom or in any other capacity – please do not speak about COVID. Please make sure that you and your team are not using any words, images, or even hashtags that would link our business in connection with the current global pandemic. Avoid buzzwords like "COVID-19, Coronavirus, Pandemic, Crisis, Stimulus Check, Unemployment," or similar in connection with your business.

What CAN we say about our business right now?

1) Opportunity. Talk about being a Rep with PlanNet Marketing! Go ahead and tell the world about how you are personally experiencing personal freedom, financial freedom, and time freedom. We love those posts! Tell the world how to "Design your amazing, ideal life through a lucrative home-based business model where YOU are in control!"

2) Product. Talk about the InteleTravel ITA. It's your product, so sell it. Make sure you don't talk about agent pricing or perks though. When you talk about the ITA, you should talk about selling travel, earning commissions (on travel sales), and learning about the travel biz! It's as simple as that. "It's rewarding. It's social. It's fun. It's TRAVEL and you can own it!"

3) Background. Feel free to share information and statistics about PlanNet Marketing and our Founders! We have some great info about our company right on our website and also in our presentation. You can also share info about InteleTravel and their leaders.

4) Income and Disclosure. Feel free to talk about the income potential that PlanNet Marketing offers, but please note that ANY TIME we talk about money, we need to reference the PlanNet Marketing Income Disclosure Statement (IDS). The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is very serious about providing consumers with accurate and complete information about earnings before that consumer makes a purchase. In our industry, it's super important to safeguard our business by always disclosing complete earnings potential as shown on the PlanNet Marketing IDS. All you have to do is include a link to that page with your online post -- https://www.plannetmarketing.com/en-us/Income-Disclosure
