PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Emily Hopkins to the 20/20 Club! Emily tells us, “My name is Emily, but everyone calls me Em. I am 25 years old and live in Derbyshire, UK.
“I have always had a huge passion for travel and a desire to have my own business. When I discovered PlanNet, being able to run a business in an industry I’m so passionate about was a complete no-brainer!! PlanNet fell into my life at a time when I needed it the most, and for that I am so grateful. Everything happens for a reason!!
“I have been very fortunate to have travelled to so many amazing places. Some of my favourite experiences include backpacking around the Philippines, completing a safari in Johannesburg, partying on a yacht in Dubai, relaxing in Iceland’s Blue Lagoon and enjoying the breath-taking views of Santorini.
“I think my success in PlanNet so far is due to consistency, work ethic, having a positive mindset, and having a strong WHY. Consistency builds trust. If you are inconsistent with your business, potential customers or business partners will not take you seriously. Treat this like a business and it will pay you like one. Having a good work ethic seems obvious, but there are lots of people who think they’re working hard, but in reality, spend their time on non-income producing activities. Working smart is so important, especially when your time is limited. Mindset really is everything. If you believe you CAN, you WILL, but if you believe you CAN’T, you WON’T. Adopting a positive mindset has changed the game for me, not only for my business but in my day-to-day life, too. You will face hurdles in this business and you will be pushed to your absolute limit, but that is entrepreneurship and you have to understand that it’s all part of the journey. I’ve definitely developed tough skin since joining PlanNet and plenty of resilience. The thing that keeps me so driven and motivated is my WHY. Try and work out WHY you’re doing this business and remind yourself of this every single day. It’s so easy to forget why you started. Keep your eyes on the prize, stay in your lane and you will achieve success.
“Fun fact - alongside my full time job, I am also a DJ and have been fortunate enough to play all around the UK and Europe.”
