1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in New York City. Currently out of my family of five, only my sister and I are left. I have three daughters, a grandson, and a young lady I raised as a daughter with her children who is my honorary daughter. I am paving the way and showing all my daughters how to be a legend in their time. Currently, I am a Community Hope Catalyst who aids organizations and companies in North Carolina and the surrounding area to assist people in need. My mission is to stir up the gifts, instill hope, and save lives. This business helps me, the Co-Founder, and Hope Partners work in collaboration with my non-profit 501(c)(3) Capital City Hope Foundation.
My business highlights are Gold Plus, Gold Maker, 20/20 Club, and One-Star Director. Understand I started out swiftly but I took my eyes off because of many very life-altering situations. Being in network marketing for the first time, I had to learn how to manage both simultaneously. Now I am working on rebuilding and I had to start over. I am still encouraged. This vision is one that can help any family have sustainable income for a lifetime if done right. It has made me stronger and now I will help others to never stop! I am working diligently to grow and empower my team to grow so we can all make an impact in our community.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have grown emotionally and mentally. I also had to learn to be coachable. I truly never understood it completely. I am still perfecting it even more so I can be more effective as a leader; therefore, I am still learning daily. I had to begin talking less and listening more. And I had to learn to wait before I could be used in this business as a leader because I am new to this industry. At first I didn’t know and I had to get out of my way, and this took me a while. I truly had to get into two books that helped me tremendously: The Power of Focus and Emotional Intelligence both helped me to shift overall. The Founder and our leaders encourage us to read and grow daily. When people listen, plug in and use the system, they will reap the benefits.
As people join my team now, I stress the importance of reading and give them a blueprint to follow, which was provided to me. It begins with learning about network marketing (the industry) first. I am grateful for the experience because now I can genuinely help others and have a clear understanding of their plight and offer wisdom and experience with specific directions and goals in mind.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
What motivates me is my desire for personal freedom, to be able to leave a legacy, and be a change agent in the world. Being an orphan now, it truly is of importance. My parents left me a small inheritance and it has ignited a fire in me to do the same. PlanNet Marketing is giving us all the opportunity to make this a reality. We must all make the necessary adjustments over and over again and just do it!
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My role model is my sponsor/upline and mentor, Two-Star Director Dennese Douglas. I know the challenges she has faced and watched her fight tirelessly and never lose hope. She is the perfect example of a phenomenal and resilient woman and leader. She is pure, genuine, unselfish, compassionate, strong, knowledgeable, and she cares about people.
5. The three words that describe you best are:
Catalyst, Personable, and Compassionate.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
First let me say you must submit to leadership and forget all you know. Even if you were the most knowledgeable person, qualified, and certified. In this industry, you must start fresh in order to really get the best results. Learn about the personality color types and master how to build relationships with people based on a person’s personality color and their needs. Learn how to listen and become a problem solver.
When the going gets tough and you find yourself alone or falling, if you stay plugged into this system, you are not alone! Be sincere and honest. Make a decision and commit to it! Regroup, recharge, reshift and begin again with even more determination and velocity. Remove all distractions and negative people who do not help you reach your goals, family or friends included. Communicate your goals to them and stick to it and they will respect you in the end when you become the evidence.
Never let anyone steal your dreams and aspirations. Realize it may not be easy; however, it will be well worth it when you achieve your goal. We all have a predestined purpose. Find it, tap into it, and use it to impact lives. Get used to encouraging yourself and taking constructive criticism and grow from it. Welcome it and do not take it personally, except to change the behaviors and habits. You will go from being the caterpillar to a butterfly in PlanNet Marketing and fly with your beautiful colors.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Retired, top leader in PlanNet Marketing. Traveling around the world helping families as needed.
