Meet new PlanNet Marketing One-Star Director Joy Simpson! Joy tells us, “I was born and raised in East Central Illinois and I currently live in Tuscola, Illinois. My husband and I have been married for 36 years and we raised two wonderful children. My family is the best part of me and I am blessed that they support and involve themselves in my travel business. I’m a dog lover and have two older dogs that need some extra love and care. I am a cake artist and have designed and made hundreds of cakes. I love that something as basic as a personalized cake can make a person smile. I enjoy riding motorcycles with my family, cooking, camping, gardening, exploring, and of course, traveling. My travels thus far have included the Caribbean (love Jamaica!), three of the Hawaiian islands and several parts of Mexico. I’m looking forward to exploring other parts of the globe, including Europe.
“I have never used my story of our family’s tragedy to propel my business forward in any way (it’s too sacred). But I do thank PlanNet Marketing, especially those who directly supported me from the beginning, and continue to lift me up and support me now. We lost our eldest son in a horrific car accident three months after I began working with PlanNet and InteleTravel. I credit my strong faith in God, my husband, my family, my friends, and my PlanNet and InteleTravel families for helping me face each day without disintegrating into ‘nothingness,’ but instead reaching high and hitting my goal of becoming a Director and helping other families along the way. THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart!
“My advice to others seeking Directorship is CONSISTENCY, focusing, getting out of your comfort zone, being coachable, and plugging in to your team and company. One of my favorite quotes is, “There are people less qualified than you, doing the things you want to do, simply because they decide to believe in themselves. Period.”
“I’ll end by telling you one trick that I know has gotten me here...NEVER TURN DOWN AN OPPORTUNITY THAT A LEADER GIVES YOU! (to speak, train others, lead, be a servant, learn etc.) even when you don’t feel ready or qualified.”
