Meet one of the PlanNet’s newest One-Star Directors, Abigail Jenkins! Abigail shares that she is from a very small village in West Wales, UK. “It’s very remote, but beautiful, and I love it! I’ve always loved natural beauty and perhaps that’s where my love of travel has come from - experiencing new places, new landscapes, and new cultures.
“As well as being passionate about travel, I’ve also always been passionate about being ‘different’ - resisting the 9-5, encouraging people to look for a different solution, and so looking back it seems obvious that this business is such a perfect match for me!
“I’m a very authentic person; I believe in being me, and I think that’s had a huge part to play in my success so far in this business. A huge part of building a team is building relationships and the easiest way to do that is by being yourself. People are not attracted by buzzwords and generic recruitment tactics; they are attracted by a story that resonates with them, and so that is what I present.
“I guess I have reached this position quite quickly; it was only eight months ago since I decided it was time to put my head down and treat it like a business, and since then I have spent every spare second on it…of course you can achieve success at your own pace, but my pace is all in! I’ve made sacrifices along the way, I guess, but I have enjoyed every single moment and seeing the impact that my efforts are having on other people is worth every second of my time and energy.
