1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I’m from Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom and I’m single mum to a three-year old and an 18-year-old. I have a love of travel and adventure!
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I think the biggest thing about my journey with PlanNet Marketing is how I have changed within – my own personal growth and development. Rewind two years ago, and I was a totally different person. I lacked confidence and self-belief. How I perceive myself now has gone full circle. I feel strong and ready to take on the world. I know I’m responsible for my own destiny and I have the belief that I have what it takes to make my dreams come true. I feel I deserve that now and I’m ready. I was so caught up with my past but now I’m focused on the future and what will make me unstoppable are my children, Chloe and James, who are my absolute world. I wanted to leave that legacy for my children and secure their financial future; my little boy lost his dad when he was just one year old. I needed to make sure when it’s my turn to leave this beautiful world I leave my children a will, not a bill. This was my drive and focus from day one.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
PlanNet Marketing has changed me. I have had amazing support and mentorship from Taryn Cox and Lisa Michelle; these ladies believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself. I’ve overcome more struggles personally in the last few years than I have in my whole life and the support and friendship from these two have meant more than words can say.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I would consider Ed Sheeran a role model. I love his journey from being homeless on the streets to where he is today. I'm a big struggle advocate and I am certainly not ashamed to admit it. How are you supposed to know the difference between the highs and the lows if you don't go through the struggles? For me it's not always about the success, but the journey.
5. The three words that describe you best are:
Focused, Passionate, Humble.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
My top piece of advice is that there is no better time to be happy than now. Life will always be filled with obstacles and challenges; choose to be happy anyway. Treasure every moment you have; time waits for no one. Stop waiting for spring, summer, fall, winter, till you’re 20, 30, 40, or 50, till you marry, till you divorce, till you have kids, till your kids grow up and leave home, till you start work, till you retire, till Friday night, till Sunday morning, till you get a new car, till you buy that new home. There is no better time to be happy than now. Happiness is a journey, not the destination.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
What will my life be like in five years? Who knows? I don’t want to focus on the end goal but I want to enjoy what’s happening right now. Tomorrow is never certain and my life is happening right now.
