COMPLIANCE CORNER

I can’t believe I’m even writing this Compliance Tip for you all today, because truly, you’re FANTASTIC at training! I read the PlanNetNOW Blog every week and over and over I read “Don’t miss a meeting you are qualified to attend.” That’s so great!!! But did you know, your ongoing responsibility as a Rep and a leader of your team goes beyond just attending meetings and getting your team to attend?

You are responsible for keeping your team “trained” and that can seem daunting. You’re already doing a great job because you’re getting them to all those meetings and trainings – WAY TO GO! But don’t forget that ongoing training of your Reps includes personal interaction.

  • Talk to your Reps one-on-one. Make sure you’re giving them your undivided attention sometimes. Call and see how they’re doing. Text and ask if they need anything from you. Send an email to just that Rep and give them some encouragement.

  • Invite them to meetings. Obviously this step is pretty easy because they’re probably already coming to local meetings, but make SURE they know when meetings and trainings are happening and encourage them to invite others.

  • Point them in the right direction. If a Rep on your team needs to know about a PlanNet Policy or has a question about their account – point them to our PlanNet Support Team or to the “Resources” section of their Virtual Office. Make sure they get the right information from the right source.

  • Keep them from doing the wrong thing! If you see a Rep on your team doing something or saying something that you know is wrong – tell them. It really is very simple, but maybe they don’t know it’s wrong. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to them about it, or they just aren’t listening to you – then contact Compliance and we’ll talk to them about it. But don’t ignore it!

  • Remind them to train their Reps. Remind your personally sponsored Reps to keep in touch with their team and keep them trained too! You should want your Reps to copy your actions and duplicate your efforts with their teams. Train them through your actions – it’s the best way to teach and learn!
