LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT ON: THREE-STAR DIRECTOR FERNE SAPP

ferne_sapp_LS.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in Bridgeport, CT and truly enjoyed my childhood and the life I was afforded. I didn’t know it then, but everyone from my parents to my grandparents and aunts and uncles were playing a significant role in shaping me into the woman I am becoming today. Currently, I reside in Covington, GA with my husband, Willie. We have had the privilege of shaping the lives of our three adult children, Tory (recently deceased), Nicole and her hubby Jason, and our last son, Wynton, and our amazing grandchildren. I truly enjoy traveling the world, especially with my family and friends. I picked up two hobbies this past year - bicycling and learning a new language, Español. My goal is to really bring my 50th birthday in with a bang!!! I’ve had some great success in business, having worked for over a decade with the federal government and leaving as a supervisory management analyst, highly ranked and awarded. I’ve also served in ministry both on full-time staff as a campus pastor and also serving on a volunteer basis in many outreach opportunities.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Wow, PlanNet has allowed me an opportunity to get to know me – what I really want, who I really am, and how I interact with others. It’s amazing because it is truly a place where you can be real – real with yourself and real with others. I’ve always been a person who has loved people and wanted the best for them, but many times I’ve neglected myself or my own personal dreams and desires. PlanNet has challenged me to be honest with who I am and what I really desire. I’ve grown in these years to know that it’s okay to want it for others, but by all means, in the words of every flight attendant, “Put your own oxygen mask on first.” It’s been an amazing journey and I’m looking forward to where I will GROW from here.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
I’m driven by the opportunity to make a difference in the world. I want to see young girls grow into knowing their worth and their value. I want to see them grow into confident, strong, giving, and loving women. I’m driven to see that change in their lives. I’m driven by my desire to see the impoverished made whole – to feed the hungry – most importantly to feed hungry children. I often think of the old hymn that says, “If I can help somebody as I travel along the way, then my living shall not be in vain.” I’m driven to help somebody and to make my life count!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
So many people have served as role models in my life but there is one person in particular who really shaped my life, my great aunt, Carrie Glover. She was seen as a strict person who didn’t take any stuff. She told you want she meant and she meant what she said. Yet there was this side of her that really taught me how to live. She taught me how to care for myself in both my hygiene and dress. She was sharp! She taught me how to improvise as she would bring together fabrics to make the latest clothing. She taught me how to pray; she was a praying woman! She taught me how to GIVE – she was always giving to people. I remember one afternoon we drove the streets of Bridgeport looking for her brother, who was an alcoholic living on the streets. She wanted to feed him – she knew he was hungry. I watched her fuss at him and leave him something to eat as we sat in the back seat of her station wagon. As we drove off I thought, “Now that’s family, she wasn’t afraid of the elements or even the smell of this stinky alley. She loves her brother.” That scene has forever been etched in my heart. Aunt Carrie taught me so much and I feel obligated to do the same for others and to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
FUN, LOVING, and a DIFFERENCE-MAKER!

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
If I had some sound advice to give to anyone it would be to ask God to show you your purpose. Ask Him why you are here on this earth and then give everything you have to pursue that purpose. Seek to make a difference in the world. Beyond the bling, the houses, the cars…seek to make a change in someone’s life. Seek to leave a mark, to leave an impression on the world that says you were here. Get beyond yourself and look to help someone else. Live each day knowing you were born with purpose in mind and then close out each day looking to get closer and closer to that very goal.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now my life is AMAZING!!!! I will have launched my foundation, Jewels with Purpose, visiting cities all over the world on the Jewel Express, empowering young girls and promoting positive self-image, self-esteem, and self-worth. I smile each day as I see the development of philanthropic and generous young ladies who are changing the world! I will be at my best health, in my wealthiest place, and giving in abundance. My children and grandchildren will rise and call me blessed! Oh, and let’s not forget…I’ll be enjoying the beaches of the world and visiting exotic destinations because after all, I do own my own successful, multi-million dollar travel business!

CONGRATULATIONS TO PHILLIP & YOLANDA ROLLINS FOR ACHIEVING FOUR-STAR DIRECTOR AND CHAIRMAN’S COUNCIL!

Phillip-Yolanda-Rollins-4Star-CC-Announce.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is proud to announce that Phillip and Yolanda Rollins have reached the finish line in the Race to Chairman’s Council! The Chairman's Council is an exclusive club for PlanNet Marketing Four-Star Directors (who must have 1,500 active ITAs in their downline). The Chairman’s Council advises Chairman Bradley and CEO Andy Cauthen on all matters relating to field leaders and their teams. Chairman Donald Bradley and everyone at PlanNet Marketing congratulates our newest Four-Star Directors on this outstanding achievement!

WELCOME TO THE 40/40 CLUB, PATRICIA BROWN!

4040club_brown.jpg

PlanNet Marketing welcomes Patricia Johnson Brown to the 40/40 Club! Originally from Somerset, NJ, Patricia is married to DeAndre Brown, who is from Memphis, TN. She has a beautiful daughter in her senior year at Howard University and three wonderful stepsons, one of whom attends Valdosta University. They now reside in Johns Creek, GA.

Patricia tells us, “I graduated from Howard University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and spent 20 years in corporate America working in the semiconductor industry, in technical sales and marketing. It was a love/hate relationship. I loved the money and my clients, but hated the infrastructure and the migraines. I truly love helping people which is why, in 2011 I co-founded ‘Math Is My Friend,’ a non-profit organization dedicated to closing the achievement gap in math.

“In 2015, I traded in my corporate America hat to become a full time entrepreneur and I love it!!  Right around the same time, I went to a travel party, which led me to buying my travel business that night. I was excited because I was told by the presenter, now Four-Star Director Eileen Ross, that I could earn a commission on my own destination wedding in Jamaica! I ended up making $3,000!

“At first I just enjoyed booking and saving on travel. I actually only joined the PlanNet Marketing side of the business because my cousin, Carmen Brown, said she was definitely joining and I didn’t want to miss out ‘just in case.’ Long story short, after sitting down with the founder, Donald Bradley, and hearing him tell me ‘we are going to teach people how to make it, save it, and invest it,’ I knew I was in the right place because that was MY motto. I love teaching people about financial empowerment…and of course I love to travel.

‘To think I came from a place where I would never do network marketing to being a Two-Star Director (on my way to Three-Star) and now in the 40/40 Club still amazes me. The added bonus to this business is that I get to help people earn additional income that can change their lives. When I was a sales engineer, people would want a job like mine (or so they thought) but I couldn’t help them unless they had an engineering degree. Here, I can help anybody and everybody who wants it, while helping myself and my family at the same time!”  #winning

WELCOME TO THE 20/20 CLUB, ANGELA MCIVER!

2020club2_mciver.jpg

Welcome to the 20/20 Club Angela McIver! Angela is from Detroit, MI and currently resides in Houston, TX. She has traveled to Thailand, Dubai, the Caribbean, Europe ,and South Africa! Angela says, “My top three travel experiences would have to be Cape Town, South Africa, Carnival in Trinidad, and island hopping in Croatia. I have been an engineer for over 10 years in various industries; however, traveling has always been one of my passions. In March 2017, I started my business because I love to travel and had the desire to help others see the world. I also didn’t want to rely on my corporate job alone to provide the lifestyle that I want. In PlanNet, we all know you should never rely on a single source of income! I didn’t realize that I would love PlanNet Marketing so much and my desire to help families experience financial freedom would become a passion of mine as well.

“I am achieving success in PlanNet Marketing by doing the simple things consistently, following the system. It is so important to be coachable and follow the leadership that demonstrates the proven success system. My leaders all have a servant’s heart and have coached me to hit every goal from bronze, silver, gold, and now 20/20. I learned the power of leverage early on and now I'm ready to tackle the next goal of DIT (Director in Training)!”

WELCOME TO THE 20/20 CLUB, KEYMONE & TAKEYA NOBLE!

2020club2_noble.jpg

Takeya is from Columbia SC, a former “military brat” with deep roots in South Carolina and Georgia. Her interests are music, reading, dancing, singing, arts, and crafts

Takeya tells us, “As for travel experiences, being a military brat and moving every few years, I always looked forward to meeting new people and learning new things. We have lived in Germany, Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, Washington State, and Texas.

“Success comes from taking advantage of social media and travel parties. It is important to know the presentation inside and out - it helps that you master the compensation plan as well.”

Keymone is from Columbia, SC with interests of investing in the stock market, starting new businesses, and helping other people achieve success. He says, “I've enjoyed success much faster due to our team of entrepreneurs.

“I've traveled all up the eastern seaboard, to Las Vegas, Florida, and California as well, and I always seem to find myself in Atlanta! I have just booked a trip to Paris for my birthday on March 29th!

“I'm achieving success at PlanNet by simply sharing the opportunity with everyone that I meet and having a lot of confidence when I speak, so they get those vibes from me.  I feel like anyone who is connected to me will win, because I'm going to win and never quit.

“A fun fact is that I never expected to grow a team in this business. I thought I was going to book a lot of travel, but God has other plans, so I'm going to follow Him as He guides me.”

NEWS FROM THE CORPORATE TEAM

COMPLIANCE CORNER

Amanda-headshot.jpg

Last week we discussed marketing – today, let’s talk about branding.

First of all – what’s the difference?! There is a BIG difference!

Marketing says, “Buy our product! It’s better and faster and easier – you’ll love it!” Many of you market your product daily – on social media, in person, over the phone, in print.

Branding should go hand-in-hand with any marketing effort. Branding is not pushing your product on others, but instead pulling them in with who you are and how you do business. It’s communicating the characteristics, values, and qualities that tell a person what this particular brand is and is not.

A brand will help encourage someone to buy a product by supporting whatever marketing strategies are being used, but the brand does not say “buy me.” Instead, branding says “This is what I am. This is why I exist. If you agree, if you like me, you can buy me, support me, and recommend me to your friends.”

PlanNet Marketing has a very specific branding strategy. We want to be the BEST – we want to be the best at sales, at marketing, at answering phones, at answering questions, at supporting our Reps, at helping our employees, at hosting meetings, at paying on time, at following the rules, at explaining the rules, at building a company, at building an atmosphere…we want to go above and beyond.

We want you to be the best too!  We want you to be professional, ethical, helpful, encouraging, positive, friendly, smiling, successful. Are you there? Are you doing it? Or have you painted a very different branding image for your business?

I CHALLENGE each of you over the next week – look at yourself, look at your brand. Who are you telling the world you are? What are you communicating in your social media posts and comments? When you ask your team and clients “What am I? Why do I exist?” - what do they say? Dig deep and make sure that your marketing efforts aren’t going to be eclipsed by your branding. Make a decision to tell the planet exactly what you’re about and get people to agree with you – you won’t have to market nearly as hard if people agree and like you and support you. If they know you and know what you’re about – they’ll want to buy from you and they’ll recommend you to their friends.
