1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I currently reside in Smyrna, Georgia with my lovely wife. ​I like to spend my free time reading. ​Earlier in my career, I worked for the Atlanta ​J​ournal in sales. From there I moved on to become an account executive for ​AT&T until I started working in home-based businesses for over 20 years.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
​PlanNet Marketing has given me the ability to share my gift of being a teacher. It has given me the ability to grow more, learn more, and teach more.​

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
That growth is the impetus for our desire for PlanNet Marketing to become a legacy company.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
​President Barack Obama, because of his ability to have strength and deal with the pressures without imploding. He seemed very calm and cool over the eight years he served in office. I'm sure he was very stressed but never showed it. I hope one day that I can be like that.​

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Silly, Straightforward, and Driven

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
​Travel more at an early age. Monitor your environment. ​Study how money works.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
F​ive years older and a lot more calm and wise.

Her love for photography and painting inspires her travel experiences and she says she has been blessed to visit many different countries all around the world. Valentina is a former technology professional and now a business owner and homeschool mom to an amazing ten-year-old aspiring scientist named Arvil.

New 20/20 Club member Summer Lee is originally from Easley, SC and now resides in Columbia, SC. Her interests are design and artwork, running, traveling, dancing, and playing sports. She tells us that her travel experiences include several trips to Mexico, almost all 50 states (including Puerto Rico), and Europe. Her desire is to visit as many places in the world as possible and gain all the cultural experiences she can along the way.

Summer says, “I have to start by saying that success in this business is not achieved alone. I would not be where I am without my team or my accountability partner. I am achieving success at PlanNet Marketing by incorporating my business in all I do. This business is a lifestyle and if you treat it as a business that gives you a desirable lifestyle, then success is in your future!  Helpful tips…eliminate fear by approaching it. Whenever I get a feeling of hesitation, I know that is the direction I should go first. If I don’t want to do something, then I tend to make myself do it more often so that it becomes one of the things that I don’t mind doing. For example, if talking to strangers is my fear, then I make it a point to speak to everyone within arm’s reach of me. Each conversation is unique and all may not result in business, but the end goal is the same…build a relationship and gain a business partner!  Fear only exists in your mind…overcoming your own mind along with doubt is key. I always tell my business partners there are only two answers…”Yes or No” - and you’ve heard both before!

Has anyone else noticed that Reese's is EVERYWHERE!?

Literally, their marketing is red-hot on fi-ya (fire) right now. I walk into the store and I see Reese's. I pull up to the gas station and I can see their standalone displays from outside in the parking lot.

There's Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's Big Cup, Reese's Miniature Cups, Reese's Pieces, Reese's Cups Stuffed with Pieces, Reese's Fast Break...you can BBQ it, boil it, broil it (I'm getting off topic here).

In a country where Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are a household name and easily considered one of America's favorite candies - who decided to go the extra ten miles!?

Reese's is working their tail off to make sure there's a cup for everyone - even if you don't like milk chocolate (crazy, I know, but there are people!) you can buy a white chocolate peanut butter cup from the friendly, thoughtful people at Reese's.

What about you?

Seriously, what are YOU doing to market yourself? Are you selling something everyone loves and wants and just resting on your laurels? Or are you slicing and dicing your PB Cup in every way imaginable to appeal to any and every person who walks through the proverbial "doors" of your business!?

Marketing is everything.

There will always be someone who doesn't like peanut butter or travel, but for all the other "normal" people out there - you need to make your product and yourself as appealing as possible.

They like country music? There's a cruise with a slew of country music legends setting sail at the end of January 2019. Are they a coffee enthusiast? Send them to La Zona Cafetera, better known as "the coffee triangle" in the mountains of Columbia. Maybe they LOVE Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Then a trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania would be perfect - see where it all started, visit the HersheyPark theme park and ride a candy themed roller coaster.

My point is simple, when you're holding something as universally loved and desired as travel, you sometimes forget that your job is to help everyone feel the travel love. Don't just sit back and say, "Everybody loves travel! They'll buy it." Market yourself and your travel business in such a way that everyone wants to buy it - from YOU.

I see room for improvement in everything I do, being a mom, a wife, a co-worker, a COO, the list goes on. Every day is a learning process to get where I want to be and do what I know I am capable of. There is always something that seems to knock me down every day - a fight between my kids, a missed appointment because I got sidetracked on something else equally important, or this morning my internet going down for five minutes at the most critical part of my day when I needed to get some important work done.

I had to remind myself to take a breath and keep moving. Sometimes these frustrations or distractions just become an excuse to give up.
