COMPLIANCE CORNER

As a PlanNet Marketing Rep, your main objective is to sell our exclusive product – the InteleTravel at-home Independent Travel Agency business, or ITA. You can also build a team of other Reps who will sell ITAs.

In our online world, many Reps are leveraging social media, funnels and other electronic media to get the word out about their business and sell the product. So let’s talk about the BEST ways to market your business online.

1)  Talk about Earning Money! That’s right, show me the money people. When you are selling ITAs, the very FIRST thing you should always mention is the income opportunity for the Agent – how a person can sell travel to earn travel commissions when they become an ITA. That can sound something like, “When you become an InteleTravel Agent, you can sell travel to anyone – friends, family, even yourself. You’ll earn a commission based on the travel you sell.” Don't talk about saving money by booking your own travel, just let the Agent know how they can EARN income.

2)  No Agent Rates or Perks. There are definitely some benefits to being a Travel Agent, often Agents do receive special rates or extras because travel vendors want Agents to come see what they have to offer and then recommend it to their customers. HOWEVER, these are not selling features! Reps should NEVER post Agent Rates or Agent Perks when trying to sell ITAs. Stick to how Agents will earn an income – that’s the way to sell.

3)  Keep Reps and Agents Separate. There are a growing number of individuals who are BOTH PlanNet Reps and InteleTravel Agents. The PlanNet Marketing Rep is selling ITAs and enrolling other Reps to earn residual income and supplement their lifestyle. The InteleTravel at-home Travel Agent is booking travel and earning commissions on those bookings. We are partners in business, but we are NOT one business. We are two separate businesses with independent and separate management, operating in two different industries. Together, we are hugely successful. It’s important for our Reps and Agents to understand this separation and clearly state who they are representing in their social media or online posting – all posts should clearly be from a PlanNet Rep or an InteleTravel Agent – but never both in the same post (as it is noncompliant and very confusing for others). Please don't say, "I'm a Travel Agent and I can show you how to be one, too!"

4)   Keep It Simple. You don’t have to provide every single piece of information or 15 examples of great rates to sell the ITA. In fact, keeping things simple will most likely attract more people to your posts/pages/stories. There are videos available in your Virtual Office as well as our corporate PowerPoint Presentation to share all of that information once someone is interested. When it comes to piquing interest – talk about Earning Money from home in the fabulous travel industry! That sounds pretty great to me, others will think so too!

PlanNet Marketing congratulates Michelle J. Burley-Carr for achieving One-Star Director! She tells us, “I am a passionate and intentional warrior for the elevation of women empowerment globally. I lead women on a journey to discover their life purpose on a platform of entrepreneurship in building a generational wealth legacy of global impact, through a global leadership. I am a proud native of Chicago. But where I am from, my DNA, I was born into and raised by a family of entrepreneurs – parents, grandparents, and extended family. Growing up, Chicago was the melting pot for minority business owners. If you had vision, drive, determination, and talent, you could own and operate a successful business in Chicago. My father had the vision and a highly specialized sought-after skill set, and my mother had the business acumen; together they executed their dream, Pierre’s Auto Body. Known around the country for his custom paint jobs and being one of a few skilled fiberglass (think Corvettes) auto body repairmen in the US, my parents created something from nothing! Don’t try to convince them to walk your path with you because you will only waste your time and your emotional good health. Be who you are. Embrace that you are not everyone’s cup of tea and that is OK! You have to be built for network marketing! Seek to share your path with those who recognize and appreciate your gifts, who you are.

PlanNet Marketing congratulates WillieMae Elery for achieving One-Star Director! She tells us, “Originally, I’m from Sumter, S.C. I currently reside in O’Fallon, IL, where I live with my husband, Clifton Elery. We’ve been married for 55 years, yes, May 27, 1966 (55 years). We’re both retired; Clif from the Air Force and I am retired from the federal government. I've been involved in network marketing ever since I was in my early 30s. I've never made a substantial amount of money, but I refused to quit. I was introduced to PlanNet Marketing in July 2016. After attending a PlanNet Marketing opportunity meeting, I called my sponsor to let her know that I was ready to sign up. I began on July 26, 2016.

“I love bowling and I greatly enjoy the Reading Room shared with business partners throughout Mrs. Watkins-Mukes’ organization. I'm passionate about uplifting and encouraging others. I WANT EVERYONE TO WIN!!!

“My husband's military background opened the door for world travel. His 20 plus years of service afforded me the opportunity to live in Colorado Springs, CO; the Panama Canal Zone; Okinawa, Japan; and Fairfield, CA. Likewise, I was fortunate enough to travel to South Korea and the Philippines. Our post-military life has been enriched with annual Caribbean cruises as well as numerous destination vacations.

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Chicago, raised in Milwaukee, WI, and have had the privilege and pleasure of living in Seattle, DC and Atlanta. My corporate career as an HR compensation director has afforded me opportunities to work for organizations such as Coca-Cola, Starbucks and Amtrak. My husband, Kenneth, and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary – renewing our vows in Cancun, Mexico. I absolutely love to dance and spend time with family and friends. On February 26, 2021, I was incredibly honored and proud to become one of PlanNet’s Directors.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
‌The personal development has been absolutely phenomenal since joining PlanNet. Through this business, I have been able to not only transfer my skills from corporate to position myself as a leader in the organization, but I’ve personally been able to become unapologetic for my dedication and commitment to my business in PlanNet. I’ve learned the importance of prioritizing and pushing back where needed.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Growing up poor motivated me and continues to motivate me to “never again” have to struggle if within my power. Therefore, I continue to strive for excellence and work extremely hard to live a life I’ve always dreamed.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I would consider PlanNet Marketing’s very own Four-Star Director Nina Vital a role model. Her ability to compress timeframes to position herself as a top income earner in this business is admirable. She not only exemplifies excellence, but her champion's heart, competitive spirit, passion to serve, and her ability to seek and develop talent is amazing.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Caring, Resilient and Competitive.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Don’t let anyone dim your light or steal your dreams. Stay focused on your goal and quiet the noise in your head.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
In five years, I will have retired both myself and my husband from corporate America and will be a top income earner in PlanNet Marketing, while traveling the world helping others do the same.
